Description
Iron is out of the first crop of foals of Asgard’s Ibiza and already stood out as a foal with his jet-black coat and his three outstanding paces. Following his licensing in Denmark in 2020, Iron completed an outstanding 35-day test. He finished as Vice Champion with a final score of 894.5 points. Iron received a 9.0 for trot, canter and rideability, and the test rider also awarded a 9.0. The walk was marked 8.0.
His sire Asgard’s Ibiza combines the genes of the exceptional sires Vivaldi and Jazz and comes from the same dam line as Charmeur, Zhivago and Zuidenwind. In 2017, he completed his stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf with the expected highlights (9.5 for walk, 9.0 for trot and canter). At the World Championships for five-year-old dressage horses in 2018 in Ermelo/NED, Asgard’s Ibiza qualified for the final with a victory in the Small Final, and finished sixth. In 2019, he won an intermediate (M) level dressage test at first go and continues to be prepared by Emmelie Scholtens/NED for a career in the dressage arenas. Around 20 stallions have been licensed from his first two crops of foals, including the premium stallions Imani AW, Inverness S and most recently the DSP dressage Champion and stallion market price record holder Il Silenzio M and the Westphalian second Reserve Champion Imperial MT.
His dam St.Pr.St. Havanna is the ninth State Premium mare in a row in her maternal line and half-sister of the licensed stallion His Highlight (by His Highness), who is internationally successful up to Inter I level. Havanna also produced Weltis (by Weltissimo), who was also placed in competitions up to Inter I. Bred to Don Schufro, she also produced St.Pr.St. Donna Eden, who successfully participated in the Herwart von der Decken-Show and was placed at the Hanoverian Riding Horse Championships.
His dam’s sire is Hohenstein, Premium Stallion of his licensing in 1993, Trakehner Elite Stallion and Trakehner Stallion of the Year in 2002. He has produced 30 licensed stallions, including the Trakehners Insterburg TSF/Carola Koppelmann and Münchhausen TSF/Fie Christine Skarsoe/DEN and Michael Oldenbourg/GER, as well as the Hanoverians Harvard, Hochadel, Hohenstaufen and the Champion Stallion and price record holder His Highness. He himself was successful up to advanced level and produced numerous offspring, such as the three-time Junior European Champion Habitus/Johanne Pauline von Danwitz, who won almost 600,000 Euros in the sport.
The Hanoverian foundation stallion Walt Disney I appears in the third generation.
The licensed stallions Graf Goetz, Woerlin, Walter Scott and Landsieger I and II as well as numerous highly succcesful sport horses also descend from this line.
