Departed’s sire Dance for me NRW is the 2016 bronze medalist 4yr old pony Bundeschamionat, and by FS Daddy Cool (FS Don’t Worry) the 2009 3 yo Reserve Bundeschampion & 2010 4 yo Bundeschampion.
Dance for me NRW’s grand sire, FS Don’t Worry is Germany’s top producing German Riding Pony sire and the achievements of his progeny are quite extraordinary with multiple German Champion ponies. He is renowned for stamping his progeny with a very level temperament and is out of FS Champion de Luxe mare, St.Pr.St Coolness.
FS Champion De Luxe was named Champion of the German Riding Pony Stallion Approvals in the year 2000. In 2001 he was Champion of the Stallion Performance Test receiving an amazing maximum score of 10 four times. His overall 30 day stallion test score (HLP) was 8.86. He was the unrivalled winner of the NRW meetings in both 2001 and 2002. In 2001 he was Champion of Rhineland. He was Bundeschampion in 2001 and 2002. FS Champion de Luxe is ranked number two on the FN breeding value.
Departed comes from a long line of top performance ponies from Germany. Unfortunately due to COVID 19 he is not being competed this season but in 2021 will commence his competition career with a child rider. This is a unique opportunity for NZ Pony breeders to breed to some of the best pony blood in Germany.
The Deutsche Reitpony or German Riding Pony is a very popular pony breed in Germany and is often described as a “miniature warmblood” with refined, horse-like characteristics that make it suitable as both a children’s pony as well as a sport horse. A perfect transition from ponies to bigger warmblood horses.
